Tour Description
This 12 day tour combines the wildlife of the Kruger National Park, the crafts and cultural traditions of Swaziland and Zululand and the scenic diversity of the Garden Route and Cape Town.
The world-renowned Kruger National Park in South Africa offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa and the world. The landlocked Kingdom of Swaziland offers the visitor the advantage of discovering a whole new country filled with bygone African traditions and culture. Swaziland is an exciting tourist destination with its art and craft outlets and traditional markets.
KwaZulu Natal offers the visitor an interaction of natural wonders, modern facilities, fascinating cultures and a rich history - in a breathtakingly beautiful landscape with a variety of settings. And it is also well-known for the Big Five - lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino - and Zululand provides visitors with many opportunities to enjoy and share in the culture and history of the Zulu people.
The Garden Route is one of the most magnificent, awe-inspiring stretches of land in South Africa with majestic mountains, breathtaking views, a natural garden of rich, colourful vistas, with valleys and lakes, rivers and forests, a paradise for bird-lovers and nature lovers, an eco-destination like few others in the world, with miles upon miles of beautiful, white sandy beaches and a zillion things to do and explore.
Departures
The tour departs weekly on Mondays from Johannesburg to Cape Town.
The tour also runs in reverse from Cape Town to Johannesburg weekly on Wednesdays - called the 12 Day SA Highlights Tour

Itinerary
Day 1 - Monday: Johannesburg - Mpumalanga
Depart for Mpumalanga. Scenery includes Blyde River Canyon and God’s Window.
Overnight near Hazyview. (Dinner)
Day 2 - Tuesday: Mpumalanga - Kruger Park - Mpumalanga
Early morning game drive in Kruger National Park with packed breakfast. Search for 'Big 5', enjoy prolific birdlife and numerous other game.
Afternoon at leisure at hotel.
Late afternoon or night open-vehicle game drives available (optional and for own account). Overnight at hotel. (Breakfast & Dinner)
Day 3 - Wednesday: Mpumalanga
Early morning coffee or tea. Open vehicle game drive with pre-packed breakfast. Return to hotel.
Afternoon at leisure.
Late afternoon or night open-vehicle game drives available (for own account).

Day 4 - Thursday: Malelane - Swaziland
Early breakfast. Travel to Kingdom of Swaziland. Visit a glass factory. Arrive at hotel.
Late afternoon at leisure, or visit nearby craft market.
Overnight in Swaziland. (Breakfast & Dinner)
Day 5 - Friday: Swaziland - Zululand
Breakfast. Visit Swazi candle factory. Re-enter South Africa and travel to Hluhluwe. Dinner & overnight. Please note: Overnight for certain departures may be at Itala Game Reserve.

Day 6 - Saturday: Zululand - Durban
Early morning game drive before continuing to Durban.
Arrive in Durban early afternoon.

Day 7 – Sunday: Durban
Day at leisure (unescorted). Optional Day Excursion (for own account).
Overnight in Durban. (Breakfast)
Day 8 – Monday: Durban - Port Elizabeth
Transfer to airport for flight to Port Elizabeth. (Cost of flight and and departure tax not included in cost)
On arrival transfer to hotel. Remainder of day at leisure.
Overnight Port Elizabeth. (Breakfast & Dinner)
Day 9 – Tuesday: Port Elizabeth – Knysna
Travel westward to Tsitsikamma Mountains and indigenous forests. Check in at hotel. Afternoon at leisure.
Overnight in Knysna. [Breakfast]
Day 10 – Wednesday: Knysna
Enjoy shops and atmosphere of this quaint town before lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve. Enjoy trailer ride to top of Western Head and walk back through Milkwood trees for lunch.

Day 11 – Thursday: Knysna – Oudtshoorn
Travel via Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn. Tour vast limestone Cango Caves, and Ostrich Show Farm (guided).
Overnight in Oudtshoorn. [Breakfast and Dinner]
Day 12 – Friday: Oudtshoorn – Cape Town
Travel Route 62 via the ‘Klein Karoo’ and Montagu to Cape Town, where tour ends late afternoon. [Breakfast]
Passengers may disembark, on request, at Cape Town International Airport.
