Tour Description
Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, is located in a basin between the Khomas Highland, Auas and Eros Mountains. Whether due to pure luck or a brilliant stroke of Germanic planning, Windhoek is situated in almost the exact centre of Namibia. This has obvious benefits when it comes to governing a country the size of Namibia, and also makes it the ideal place to start and plan any holiday.
Swakopmund is the premier holiday resort in Namibia. During the summer holidays and long weekends thousands of Namibians flock to the coast. This migration happens for a couple of reasons, Swakopmund has a real holiday feel and everyone wants to be there, and during the December holidays the cool Namibian coast offers relief from the intense heat of the interior.
Etosha National Park is one of Southern Africa's finest and most important Game Reserves. Etosha Game park was declared a National Park in 1907 and covering an area of 22 270 square km, it is home to 114 mammal species, 340 bird species, 110 reptile species, 16 amphibian species and, surprisingly, one species of fish. The Etosha Park is one of the first places on any itinerary designed for a holiday in Namibia.

DAY 1 - WINDHOEK - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Depart Windhoek via Outjo to Etosha National Park. Game drive en-route. Overnight at private accommodation outside Etosha National Park, or at rest camp inside the Park. [Dinner]
DAY 2 - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Full day in Etosha National Park, exploring waterholes along this vast saltpan. Overnight at private accommodation outside Etosha National Park, or at rest camp inside the Park. [Breakfast and Dinner]
DAY 3 - ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK
Full day in Etosha National Park. Depart late afternoon. Overnight at private lodge on eastern border of Etosha National Park. [Breakfast and Dinner]
DAY 4 - LAKE OTJIKOTO - WINDHOEK
Visit Lake Otjikoto and then continue via Otjiwarongo and Okahandja. Visit Herero graves and local handicraft market. Arrive in Windhoek,late afternoon, where tour ends. [Breakfast]
