Tour Description Combine two of southern Africa's most famous sites, Kruger National Park and the breathtaking Victoria Falls, on a short but exciting journey. Look out for the Big Five and uncover Africa's incredible natural beauty on an awesome week's adventure through the south.
Victoria Falls is without doubt one of the greatest and most unforgettable scenic spectacles you will experience.
In Botswana the immensity, variety and untamed vitality of the old Africa are still there to be experienced.
Kruger National Park in South Africa is among the world's greatest nature reserves. It is one of the few places on earth where wildlife can be seen in such a great variety and such close quarters. The park is densely populated by some 520 bird, 114 reptile and 146 mammal species, including the fabled Big Five - elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo.
Please note This is a participation safari and recommended for healthy, active participants looking for an adventurous holiday.
Guests to erect their tents and help with cooking, washing dishes and vehicle cleanliness.
Post departure Accommodation Drop off in Johannesburg will be at Amadwala Lodge only.
Amadwala Lodge offers Airport Shuttles as well as private transfers. Clients need to book their seats on the shuttle in advance.
Return times are not guaranteed due to any unforeseen delays. Due to this we recommended that you book your onward travel arrangement for the day after. Estimated drop off time is 19:00 – 19:30.
Itinerary Days 1 - 2: Livingstone / Victoria Falls - Zambia Kick-off an exciting week in Zambia's adventure sports capital. Admire the incredible torrent of white water at Victoria Falls where spray drifts hundreds of metres above - hence its local name Mosi oa Tunya, 'the smoke that thunders'. Spend your time on any of the many activities available in this adrenalin “Capital of Africa”.
Days 3 - 4: Nata / Polokwane Game Reserve - Botswana Travel from the lush foliage that fringes the Zambezi to Botswana's sprawling plains. We cross into Botswana via the Kazangula ferry and then make our way through the Chobe district, where it is common to see migratory elephants along the roadside.
We continue to Nata, where we camp on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans. Explore the dizzying expanse of the Makgadikgadi Pans - they may appear arid, but it's possible to spot a meerkat, mongoose or even flamingos here.
On Day 4 we continue to the Polokwane Game Reserve in South Africa where we camp for the night. One of the attractions must be the frequent sightings of white rhino (as well as other game).
Days 5 - 6: Kruger National Park - South Africa Proceed to the Kruger National Park. Upon entering the Kruger Park we begin our search for the many species of birds, mammals and reptiles that inhabit the Park. The Kruger Park is home to a wide diversity of animals including Africa’s Big Five.
Enjoy game drives from your campsite through the park's expansive savannah and rolling hills, with an optional night drive for more animal encounters
Evening to be spent camping within the Kruger Park. .
Day 7: Shangaan Village - South Africa Soak up life in Limpopo Province among the tribal Shangaan. Explore the village and get insight into the culture and traditions of the local Shangaan people.
Enjoy a colourful evening of local culture - and a delicious barbecue dinner in a traditional boma house. Tonight we stay in village huts.
Day 8: Johannesburg - South Africa Explore Blyde River Canyon, an awe-inspiring sandstone gorge, and then make our way through the Mpumalanga province before ending the journey in Johannesburg.
Accommodation Accommodation is provided in spacious two person canvas dome tents with comfortable mattresses. Sleeping bags are available to hire if needed. On day 7 accommodation in multishare huts in tribal village.
Meals Included: 6 Breakfasts, 2 Lunches, 6 Dinners (Allow USD $60 for meals not included)
Transport Minibus (no aircon) and custom built safari vehicles - maximum 16 passengers per group.
What To Bring For comfort reasons luggage is limited on each trip to 1 backpack, 1 small daypack, sleeping bag and camera per person . Soft Bags only may be used (i.e.: no suitcases) Please note that there are storage facilities. We provide you with your tent, sleeping mat and cooking equipment.

Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended for the safari.
Cost Please note over and above the tour price a local payment of US$350 per person has to be paid in cash on departure.

Health All countries visited on this tour recommend vaccination for Hepatitis A, Tetanus, Meningitis and Typhoid. Yellow Fever vaccinations are only compulsory if you have travelled to an endemic area.
Botswana and Zambia, are malaria zones. Please ensure you are taking adequate precautions such as anti-malaria medication.
