Tour Description The Botswana Predators Trail will lead you to the best of the Botswana's National Parks - the unspoilt wildlife and wilderness areas in Africa.
This 7 day camping safari is ideal for the adventure travellers that wants to participate and experience the wildlife of Botswana. The Safari starts from Kasane and enters the Chobe National Park, Savuti, Moremi Game Reserve and brushes on the Okavango before ending in Maun. An excellent camping and participation safari.
Predators such as lion and leopard can be found in Chobe National Park, as well as large numbers of Hippos and crocodiles in the chobe river. Various bird species, warthogs, wild pig, baboons and monkeys also make Chobe National Park their home.
The Savute area is famous for its predators, especially its resident Lion and Spotted Hyena. It is claimed that the Moremi contains about thirty percent of all living Wild Dog.
The low volume policy allows you to experience the wilderness of Botswana without crowded game drive vehicles.
Participation Safaris minimum 2 and maximum 8 people the safari is with only 1 vehicle, 1 guide and 1 staff member. full participation in helping with pitching own tents and breaking camp in the mornings. 2 man dome tents, mattresses, camp beds own drinks during the day, but mineral water and juice will be supplied at meals satellite phone and air rescue standby on all safaris the open air safari vehicles allow you to have a 360 degree view on the vehicles which is ideal for the keen photographer.
The camping safaris are mobile safaris where we will make a base in one region and explore, before making camp and travel overland to our next destination in search of the wide variety of wildlife in Botswana National Parks
Itinerary Day 1: Arrive Kasane We meet at the Chobe Safari Lodge. After an introduction and briefing on our safari that awaits us, we will relax to enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River as an optional activity. This evening we will be camping at Chobe and our dinner is at our own expense in the Chobe safari lodge restaurant. Own Dinner - Camping
Should you require transfer from Livingstone / Victoria Falls to Chobe; it will be arrange at 52US$D p.p
Day 2: Chobe National Park (85 km) Our early morning departure will lead us towards the Chobe National park. Our arrival in Botswana will be introduced with a game drive in the Chobe National Park towards our overnight tented camp for the evening. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner - Camping
Day 3: Chobe National Park Savuti (100 km) There are few experiences that matches a sunrise and a coffee over the Chobe Flood plains. Our safari guides us deeper in Chobe towards the Savuti region. We will be passing some local villages before continuing our pursuit of the wildlife of the Chobe National Park.
The Savuti was home to the San Bushman dating back 1000s of years and we can view their rock art paintings as a sign of their existence. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner - Camping
Day 4,5: Moremi Game Reserve The Moremi game reserve lies in the heart of the Okavango delta and is surrounded by waterways, marshland, swampland and woodland forests. This is one of the best game viewing areas in Botswana and we will set up camp for the next 2 days to explore the Moremi game reserve. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner - Camping
Day 6: Maun ( We seize the day with an early start on a game drive heading towards the south gate of Moremi Game reserve. Our final exit from the Moremi game reserve will allow for some last viewings of wildlife and a sandy road towards Maun. We will have an opportunity to relax and explore an evening in town, indulging in the hospitality of Maun. Breakfast, Lunch & Own Dinner - Fixed tents
Day 7: Maun Our safari has come to and end and we spent the morning at leisure. Transfer to Maun airport can be arranged at about 10 US$D per person.
Preparation for Safari 10 12 kg luggage per person (Soft bags only) plus 1 day bag per person.
