Tour Description
Come and explore the Breede River on a rafting trail that is suitable to all ages. From 4 - 80 years young is welcome to join us on the Breede River.
Only one and half-hours from Cape Town and surrounded by wine farms and tranquility, the Breede River is an ideal escape from the city for a overnight trip.
We offer 2 different areas on the Breede River and we chose the best option on the day of the tour. The water in the river fluctuates in winter and summer and therefore we shift venues.
This trail is ideal for corporate incentives, families, couples, adventour seekers and in general outdoor people seeking a weekend break.
Please note the minimum size is 8 people per group. You'll be notified in advance if the trip does not proceed.

Equipment & Guides
We make use of 2-man inflatable rafts (crocodiles) with cooler box, dry bags, personal floatation devices and paddles included. The inflatable rafts are easy to control, safe and loads of fun.
Two or three qualified river guides with the necessary experience and knowledge of the river and the environment will guide you on your day of adventure through the Breede River Valley. No previous experience is needed and only a moderate fitness level is required.

Itinerary
Day1:
We meet at a pre- arranged point and time where we will have a briefing on the day’s activities and a short safety speech.
The day starts with a relaxing paddle for 3 - 4 hours on the beautiful Breede River, lunch is served on a picnic style basis along the river and we have time to enjoy the scenic Hex River Mountains that guard over this fertile valley. This spectacular inflatable canoe trip is not a race and is paced by you.
After completing our canoeing adventure, we head to Bergsig wine estate where we will be able to sample the excellent wines of the Breede River Valley. We will then depart for our overnight camp, a choice of riverside camp, dorm accommodation or mountain sanctuary camp.
We will have a well deserved shower and a few cold drinks while enjoying finger snacks, before the guides serve us with a delicious meal prepared on an open fire.
Day 2:
We have breakfast before departing home.
Optional Extra:
After having a full fry-up breakfast of eggs, bacon, toast, beans and fried tomatoes we head for the Bainskloof reserve where we have a leisurely hike up to the waterfalls and a well deserved swim in the refreshing mountain water.

Return transport to Cape Town can be arranged.
