Tour Description
As one of South Africa's most celebrated game parks, the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park is renowned for its variety of animal and bird life and an extremely rich diversity of tree and plant communities.
Two of Africa's oldest game reserves (the Hluhluwe and the Umfolozi) as well as the linking Corridor Reserve makes up this 96 000 ha Park where the "Big 5" and others, like the elusive Cheetah, can be seen.
Larger mammals to be seen include buffalo, blue wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, elephant and large numbers of impala, waterbuck, common and mountain reedbuck, nyala, kudu, bushbuck, steenbuck, duiker, warthog, black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyaena and jackal. In excess of 300 species of birds have been recorded.
This 3-day coach tour gives you also a look at traditional Zulu culture by visiting a traditional Zulu village. Other highlights include the game viewing and a cruise on Lake St. Lucia.

Itinerary
Day 1: Durban - Hluhluwe
Travel to Hluhluwe village. Transfer to open game drive vehicle for game drive into Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve. World renown Rhino Conservancy - home to ‘Big 5’, and abundant other animal species.
Continue to Hilltop Camp for magnificient views over the Reserve. Depart Reserve late afternoon/early evening for dinner and overnight at private reserve.
Overnight at a lodge. (Dinner)
Day 2: Hluhluwe
Depart early morning for full day of game viewing. Packed breakfast en route.
Visit Centenary Centre, renown for capture and translocation of game, especially White Rhino. Possible opportunity for close encounter with rhino in capture ‘bomas’ (enclosures).
Return in the late afternoon; this evening enjoy a 'Boma' dinner (weather permitting). Overnight at a lodge. (Breakfast & Dinner)
Day 3: Hluhluwe - Durban
Depart early morning for final game drive. Return to lodge for breakfast.
Return transfer to Durban, arriving in the late afternoon, where tour ends. (Breakfast)
