User Agreement

Electronic Communication
When a user visits the Places web sites (www.places.co.za; www.saplaces.co.za; www.encounter.co.za) or sends e-mails to Places, that user consents to receiving communications from Places electronically and agrees that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications sent by Places satisfies any legal requirements, including but not limited, to the requirement that such communications should be "in writing".

Agreement
The information contained on this site is an invitation to do business and not an offer. If you forward an offer to us, Places shall indicate their acceptance thereof by return mail. Places acts herein as an agent for various third party businesses and therefore any agreement resulting from the acceptance of an order is deemed to be an agreement between the relevant business and yourself.

Editorial Control
This Web site contains content provided by third parties and hyperlinks to other sites. Places does not screen or filter such content or the other sites or information available from that other sites and therefore does not accept any liability for defamatory, illegal or criminal content contained on those sites. We encourage our users to report any infringement, illegal or criminal content found on any of the sites available through links from this site in order to investigate whether such a link should be removed.

Security
Any person that delivers or attempts to deliver any damaging code to this web site or attempts to gain unauthorised access to any page on this web site shall be prosecuted and civil damages shall be claimed in the event that Placesl suffers any damage or loss.
The user allows Places to take all reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of the Places site and back-office applications.
All credit card transactions are Secure Socket Layers encrypted. The company registration documents and the site's registered domain name are checked and verified by Thawte.

Privacy
When this site collects private information from users, such information shall not be disclosed to any third party unless agreed upon between the user and Places or through due legal process. Users agree that Places may, from time to time communicate with users.
This site uses cookies to customise the site and make a user's experience more user-friendly. Cookies are an industry standard and cannot harm a computer in any way.

Apart from the provisions of sections 43(5) and 43(6) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act of the Republic of South Africa, neither Places nor any of its agents or representatives shall be liable for any damage, loss or liability of whatsoever nature arising from the use or inability to use this web site or the services or content provided from and through this web site. Furthermore, Places makes no representations or warranties, implied or otherwise, that, amongst others, the content and technology available from this web site are free from errors or omissions or that the service will be 100% uninterrupted and error free. Governing Law
This site is hosted, controlled and operated from the Republic of South Africa and therefor governed by South African law.

Domicilium
Places chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, 38 Fabriek street, Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa.
